Trubok’s manufacturing operation is located in what has traditionally been the heart of the clothing industry with factories in Newcastle and Charlestown, as well as a design and production nerve centre at head office in Johannesburg, where product development takes place – alongside the sales and marketing, administration and distribution functions.

The product development division combines state-of-the-art technology and a highly-skilled technical team, as well as award-winning designers whose creative vision lends the glamour and artistry of the world’s fashion catwalks to our collections.

Our technical team has over 70 years of expertise in in-house product development for the corporate, retail and export markets and is able to create design concepts based on client-specific needs interpreted by the creative vision of our highly- skilled designers and carried out to perfection from development and dispatch.

The pattern-making process combines the artistry of the designer and the skill of Gerber-trained technologists as sketches are transformed into precise CAD blueprints for reproduction, while our cutting facility is fully-automated to ensure precision and speed.

Quality assurance takes place at every step of the production process. Our textile technologist and specialists in fabric selection stringently test every piece of fabric before it leaves our premises made up as a garment, supported by independent reports from our fabric laboratory.All garments conform to the highest local and international standards, complying with SABS, retail and export quality assurance standards throughout design and manufacture.

Finished garments make their way to our warehouse and distribution centre for dispatch. Handling over one million garments at any one time, this facility istruly a masterpiece of logistical management – maintaining a precise tracking system for each item and every customer, and ensuring that orders are dispatched accurately and timeously. It is here also that Trubok maintains the impressive stockholding that customers rely on to ensure that they are able to receive stocks at any time without delay.

Tools to pick, pack and distribute are fully automated and reports are available at any given time on inventory, raw materials and finished goods.

With the emphasis being on speed of delivery, Trubok’s fleet of vehicles is equipped with advanced communications to ensure the highest level of service for effective, on-time deliveries. Logistics include local and national distribution.
